The Quiet Time

Posted on 08/17/2011

We’re working on the conference, and for now, we’ve entered the quiet time.

This is the time where all the volunteers are gathering information, getting speakers, signing up VIPs, getting information for vendors, prizes, etc.  It’s kind of frustrating. As the director, I need to keep up moving in a forward direction, but during this time of the year, it seems like nothing’s going on. (Even though it is.)

We’re hoping to improve on last year’s DFW Writer’s Conference, and doing that will be monumental. Last year was just a phenomenal year, and we all worked our butts off for it.

If you don’t hear anything for a while, understand that we’re propping this tent up, putting the stakes in the ground, and gathering as much quality entertainment, education, and people as we can.  We want to make sure the attendees have a good time, and learn something too.

Take care, and visit the site

OH! and sign up too!!

It’s going to be a humdinger!

(Does anyone even use that word anymore?)
